Pink the Rink VI Welcome Letter

PINK THE RINK VI
in support of Breast Cancer Charities

When: October 16-18, 2015
Where: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Building on the success of Pink the Rink V, which featured 218 teams and more than 3000 hockey players, The Etobicoke Dolphins are pleased to announce the launch of the 2015 tournament – October 16-18 in Toronto.

The tournament will once again feature the Mastercard Centre for Hockey Excellence as its home venue. This state of art facility is the practice home for the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Toronto Marlies and the Toronto Furies; home of the Hockey Hall of Fame Archives; and, the Etobicoke Sports Hall of Fame.

On Saturday, October 17th, Pink the Rink VI will play host to a CWHL game.

All tournament games will be played in the City’s west end … yet only minutes away from all downtown attractions and close to hundreds of outstanding restaurants of all kinds … not to mention some of the best shopping one could find anywhere … And should you need directions, connections or recommendations, our tournament volunteers are ready to help with all things Toronto.

To experience all the action, on and off the ice, bring your team to Toronto in October … we will do our best to make your participation a positive experience. The theme is pink for the cause; the atmosphere will be fun and festive; and, the competition will be intense. Popular events will be back, including the Best Pinked-Out Team; the Pink Puck Toss; plus, many other events at the host arenas.

In October 2015, the Etobicoke Dolphins were proud hosts to teams from across Ontario and the United States for Pink the Rink V. Not only was the action on the ice exciting … off the ice we were very pleased to have the whole hockey community dedicate their efforts to raise funds for Breast Cancer Charities. Due to the extraordinary work of our volunteers and the generosity of the players and families attending the event, the Etobicoke Dolphins were pleased to present a donation of $11,000 to the Canadian Breast Cancer Support Fund. The CBCSF provides financial support to breast cancer patients who need it the most. Support the cause …
